Biplanes & Brews Air Show

Join us for our Biplanes & Brews Air Show at the Military Aviation Museum!
October 5th and 6th from 9:00am-5:00pm

Brewing passion for history, one flight at a time! Experience this unique WWI air show spectacle showcasing the Military Aviation Museum’s expansive WWI aircraft collection.  Watch the skies with your family as historic biplanes and triplanes soar overhead with live vintage musical performances filling the air.

For adults, sample the many craft beers from across the state and region from some of Virginia’s finest local breweries.  You can even experience the thrill of flight yourself, with rides offered on the museum’s two open cockpit biplanes.  Vintage WWI air show, live music and entertainment, free on-site parking,
food trucks, re-enactors and more await you at Biplanes & Brews.

Yes! If you’re interested in volunteering for the air show, please contact Mitchell Welch at events@aviationmuseum.us. If you’d like to join us as a regular volunteer, please contact Warren Curd at volcoord@aviationmuseum.us.

As with all of our events involving our aircraft, flights are subject to weather conditions. No refunds are available for tickets, but most of the time, if one day gets rained out, your ticket will be valid for the next day. In the event of severe weather please be sure to check this website and the Museum’s Facebook page for notices rescheduling.

On-site parking is available at no cost. If needed, overflow parking will be available nearby. Please carpool if able. We can accommodate just about any vehicle for parking, but if you think you have a special need, please do not hesitate to call us at 757-721-7767.

A limited amount of handicapped marked spaces will be available and golf carts are available to take guests needing assistance to the viewing areas.

Absolutely. All parking is off the pavement, but we have a designated area under our water tower with wood blocks for your kickstands.

Bring your lawn chairs, camera, binoculars, bug spray, and money for food and souvenirs. There will be an ATM on-site.

Yes, you can bring a cooler, but absolutely NO alcohol may be brought in. We will ask to look in the cooler. We do our best to bring in a variety of quality vendors and would appreciate you supporting them at the event.

No outside alcohol is allowed at this event.

No, nothing that might obstruct the views of other guests.
