Saturday 19 May 2018, 4-7 PM
Take a step back in time and experience live 40’s music at its best! The Army Air Corp hangar is an interesting and unique venue. With wide-open hangar doors, the sunset provides a backdrop to the vintage planes you just saw fly that afternoon! The Mark Michaelsen Big Band, a 17-piece band, will play favorites of the WWII era.
Come as you are straight from the Air Show field or dress up if you’d like. Some will wear vintage 40’s attire, military uniforms, or stewardess/pilot outfits! Featured Dance Performers, Swing Virginia, will help teach you the dance steps!. Last year’s dance was a big hit—what a way to cap off a great day of flying!
The dance will be held at the Museum’s Army Air Corp Hangar.
